Earth is a detailed globe of our planet. The day side shows continents, oceans and white cloud cover from high-resolution maps, the night side shows the lights of the cities, and a thin atmosphere glows along the edge of the globe: blue in daylight, warm orange along the line where day turns to night.
How it works
The globe is lit from a sun direction you set. Each point on the surface blends from the night map to the day map as it turns toward that sun, with a soft band of twilight in between, so the line between day and night falls wherever you place the sun. The clouds are part of the surface and brighten the day side. A slightly larger shell around it draws the atmosphere glow at the rim.
Settings
- Sun Position: where the sun is relative to the globe, which sets the day side and the twilight line.
- Atmosphere Day Color: the colour of the rim on the day side.
- Atmosphere Twilight Color: the colour along the edge between day and night.
- Radius: the size of the globe. Scaling the object does the same without a rebuild.
The globe does not turn by itself; add a spin effect to the object for a slowly rotating Earth.
Use it for
Global brands, travel, logistics and climate stories, and space scenes. The same globe orbits the sun in the Solar System; put Stars behind it.
Code and API
Ready-to-paste React Three Fiber code and the 3DRise API are included in paid plans, inside the studio.
