Embroidery stitches your text in silk thread on linen. Each stroke gets the stitch an embroiderer would choose: broad satin columns for thick strokes, rope-like stem stitch for thin runs, couched thread for long straight lines and French knots for dots.
How it works
Every stroke is cut into individual threads laid across it at a slant, each overlapping the one before so the ends tuck under. Every thread is shaded as a twisted strand with a silky highlight. Because satin stitches turn with the letter, a slowly circling light catches stitches of one direction at a time, so a sheen sweeps over the lettering. Draw defaults to Stitch, pulling each thread through; Unpick lifts them away.
Settings
- Stitch style is Automatic, or forces Satin, Stem or Couching everywhere.
- Thread and Contrast thread set the main colour and the running-stitch border; Border row sets how visible that border is.
- Density sets stitches per letter height, Slant the satin angle, and Thickness how wide the satin columns are.
- Sheen sets the silk highlight, Relief how raised the stitching looks.
- Fabric shows the linen weave behind; Pucker gathers it into soft wrinkles around dense stitching.

More text
Burn Away
Letters cut from singed cream paper with smouldering embers; the erase is a combustion front travelling along the strokes leaving glowing edge, cracked char and ash. Use for dramatic reveals, titles and storytelling.
Chalkboard
Single-stroke chalk on slate: pressure-dependent deposit on a fixed grainy board with powdery halo, falling dust at the pen and a felt-smudge erase leaving ghosts. Use for classrooms, menus and hand-made titles.
Constellation
Pen strokes become a planetarium star plate: blackbody-coloured stars with Kepler binaries, tapered chart lines and faint dust stars. Use for space, astronomy, night-sky and elegant title cards.
Fourier Sketch
Each letter is traced by a chain of rotating circles whose radii are its Fourier coefficients; more terms sharpen the form, and glints keep circling the finished contours. Use for science, math and generative titles.
Frost Growth
Dendritic hoarfrost nucleates in competing crystal grains on the letter outlines, each with its own six-fold lattice and bright boundary seams, then throws prismatic glints. Use for winter, cold-brand and fantasy titles.
Handwriting
A pen writes the text in single strokes, slowing in tight curves where the ink pools and drying from wet sheen to rest colour; a faint sheen drifts over the dry ink. Use for signatures, titles and invitations.
