More water
Fountain
Fountain water of six kinds — ballistic jets (single, ring, crown, fan), laminar glass arcs, dancing jets, a geyser column, a laminar bell and tiered bowl curtains — splashing with crowns, foam and rings into a water body, lit by the scene sun and sky. Use for plazas, hotel courtyards, gardens and parks.
Canal
A canal: dark water running slowly along a long narrow strip (a current along its length), sized by the transform. Use for city streets, harbours and waterways.
Lake
A lake: wind-blown inland water with short steep waves on a fine grid, sized by the transform. Use for parks, landscapes and city waterfronts.
Pool
A swimming pool: clear, sunlit turquoise water with fine moving ripples, sized by the transform. Use for rooftops, villas, hotels, plazas and gardens.
Stream
Flowing water along a path of points, drawn over the user's own bed or terrain: clear at the edges and deep mid-stream, ripples advected with a channel velocity profile, foam on the banks, the outer side of bends and around rocks, lit by the scene sun and sky. Use for parks, gardens, landscapes and village scenes.
Waterfall
An aerated sheet of water falling from a lip into a plunge pool: ropes and surges that stretch as the water accelerates, glassy at the lip and white with foam at the foot, a boiling pool streaking foam outward, mist rising from the base and spray off the edges, lit by the scene sun and sky. Use for cliffs, gardens, hotel atriums and fantasy scenes.
Works well with
Aquamarine
Light blue aquamarine with water-like clarity, calming sea-colored gemstone
CrystalBubble trail
Soap bubbles form over copies of a moving 3D object, then rise, wobble and pop, each with a sliding soap-film sheen.
Object effectBubbles
A bubble cursor: iridescent soap bubbles rise from the mouse pointer, drift and pop. For kids, playful brands, water and beauty sites.
CursorInk bloom
Bleed a 3D object into fine curling ink filaments, like a drop of ink in water. Dark on light, made for pale scenes.
Object effectInk trail
A moving 3D object leaves copies that swirl into ink in water and tear into fine filaments.
Object effectRain beads
Bead a 3D object with water drops that catch the light, some sliding down in wet trails. Reverse dries it.
