Energy Orb

Energy Orb puts a small, living ball of energy under the mouse pointer. Its core boils like the surface of a sun, its plasma shells shimmer through the colours of the rainbow, and the whole orb breathes with a steady pulse.

How it works

The orb is built in layers. The core is a churning surface of bright cells separated by cooler, darker lanes, with sharp flares where the surface peaks, and its edge is slightly darker than its centre, the way a real sun looks. Around it sit two glowing shells whose colour shifts with the viewing angle and with time, crossed by thin electric tendrils. A soft outer glow wraps it all and slowly drifts in hue. When the pointer rests, the orb settles to a slightly smaller size and grows back as soon as it moves.

Settings

• Inner color: the hot colour of the bright cells, the flares and the brightest tendrils.
• Outer color: the colour of the cool lanes on the core and of the outer glow.
• Pulse speed: how fast the orb breathes.
• Scale, Intensity and Opacity: its size, brightness and how solid it is.

Use it for

Sci-fi and energy brands, magic and fantasy scenes, AI and tech launches where the pointer should feel alive. The same orb as a scene object is the Orb effect. Add Bloom to let the glow spill into the scene, or try the softer Aura Glow.
