Bounce makes an object hop on the spot with real cartoon physics: a proper arc that hangs at the top, a stretch on the way up and down, and a squash on every landing.
How it works
Each hop is split into a short contact moment on the ground, where the object squashes down and bulges out, and a flight where it follows a true throw-and-fall arc. It is stretched while it moves fast, near the ground, and back to its normal shape at the top of the arc. The squash and stretch keep its volume, so it reads as a soft, springy body. It pivots from its base, eases in when switched on and settles on the ground when switched off.
Settings
- Height: how high each hop goes, as a share of its height.
- Hops: hops per second.
- Squash: how much it flattens on landing, and stretches in flight.
- Duration: one pass of building up, hopping and settling; with Loop on it keeps bouncing.
Use it for
Calls to action that need attention, game characters and mascots, toy and kids' scenes, and playful product pages. Keep it on with Loop, run it on hover or click (triggering again settles it), or switch it on in an action. For a single jump with a flip, use Flip; for a single soft squash, Jelly.
