Ink Bleed writes with a fountain pen on absorbent paper. Behind the pen the ink soaks into the fibres and feathers outward, a lighter dye separates into a coloured fringe, and as it dries a darker rim gathers at the edges.
How it works
The wet front grows quickly at first and then slows as the paper fills, following the fibres, so the edge is ragged and some fibres carry ink further out. The paper itself is a fixed network of fibres. The ink is coloured like real dye, so thin ink looks lighter in the same hue. Iron-gall ink starts pale blue-grey and darkens over a few seconds, and over time the ink slowly browns the paper around the lines. The default erase, Burn, sets the whole sheet on fire, with the inked letters charring first.
Settings
- Bleed sets how far the ink feathers, Fibre how strongly the paper guides it.
- Ink and Fringe dye set the dark core and the lighter halo colour.
- Pen weight, Pooling and Drying time set line thickness, the dark rim and how long the ink keeps spreading.
- Oxidation sets how long the ink takes to darken; Ink burn browns the paper.
- Paper shows or hides the sheet behind the text.
- Char and Spread shape the Burn erase.

More text
Handwriting
A pen writes the text in single strokes, slowing in tight curves where the ink pools and drying from wet sheen to rest colour; a faint sheen drifts over the dry ink. Use for signatures, titles and invitations.
Burn Away
Letters cut from singed cream paper with smouldering embers; the erase is a combustion front travelling along the strokes leaving glowing edge, cracked char and ash. Use for dramatic reveals, titles and storytelling.
Chalkboard
Single-stroke chalk on slate: pressure-dependent deposit on a fixed grainy board with powdery halo, falling dust at the pen and a felt-smudge erase leaving ghosts. Use for classrooms, menus and hand-made titles.
Light Painting
A long-exposure photograph of a handheld light writing in the dark: trail brightness follows 1/pen speed, colour cools from hot to warm, and a sparkler throws ballistic sparks. Use for night-photo titles, signatures and festive reveals.
Constellation
Pen strokes become a planetarium star plate: blackbody-coloured stars with Kepler binaries, tapered chart lines and faint dust stars. Use for space, astronomy, night-sky and elegant title cards.
Embroidery
Hand-embroidered lettering that picks satin, stem stitch, couching and French knots per stroke, with silk thread sheen under a moving light on puckered linen. Use for monograms, heritage brands and textile titles.
