Sky Clouds Dramatic is a high-contrast sky that switches on every lighting effect of the cloud materials at once. It is the most cinematic preset: bright rims, deep shading, light shafts, a touch of storm and a glow on the edges.

How it looks

Silver Lining is 0.9, so edges facing the sun get a strong bright rim. Self Shading is 0.85 and the Ambient Color is a deep blue-violet, so the shaded parts drop dark and cool against the warm, cream Cloud Color. God Rays at 0.6 add shafts of light through the gaps toward the sun, which sits at a medium height and off to one side. A little Storminess (0.15) darkens the clouds slightly and adds a gentle churning. Softness is 0.35, so the clouds have firm outlines that make the rims crisp. Bloom Intensity is 0.6, the highest of the presets, so the rims glow strongly when Bloom post-processing is on.

Settings

  • Silver Lining and Self Shading: together they set the contrast. Lower both for a softer sky.
  • God Rays: the strength of the light shafts.
  • Bloom Intensity: raise it with Bloom enabled for glowing edges.
  • Storminess: raise it for a darker, more threatening version.

Use it for

Cinematic hero scenes, trailers and title sequences, epic product reveals, and storytelling moments that need tension or awe. For a calmer version of the same lighting see Sky Clouds Silver Lining; for darker weather, Sky Clouds Stormy.
