Grow
Scale up (or down) and stay — settles with a small overshoot; switching off brings it back

Grow scales an object up, or down, and keeps it there. It arrives at the new size with a small overshoot and settles, and switching the effect off brings it back to its original size the same way. Unlike the one-off moves, it is a state: the object stays bigger until it is turned off.
How it works
The change in size eases past the target and back, a little springy arrival rather than a flat zoom. It can grow from the object's base, so it stays standing on the ground as it gets taller, or from its centre, so it swells evenly in every direction. Because it is layered over the object's own position and animation, it combines with other motions such as floating or rotating.
Settings
- Size: the new size as a multiple of the original, from tiny to five times larger; under 1 it shrinks.
- From: its base or its centre.
- Duration: how long it takes to arrive, and to go back.
Use it for
Hover highlights in product grids and menus, selecting one object out of many, showing that something is active, or shrinking objects that should step back. Run it on hover or click (triggering again returns it to its size), as part of an action or animation, or keep it on the object. Pair it with Glow for a selected state that both grows and lights up.
More object effects
Spin
Turn the target a full turn (or more) about its own axis, landing where it started
Object effect3D print
Print a 3D object layer by layer like an FDM printer, with a hot nozzle and glowing layers, or show its slicer preview.
Object effectBounce
Hop on the spot — a real arc with a squash on every landing
Object effectFlip
Crouch, jump and flip in the air, landing with a squash
Object effectFloat
Hover in the air — a soft bob that never quite repeats, drifting and banking a little
Object effectFlock
Turn a 3D object into a flock of birds that takes off and flies away, or stays perched in its shape. Reverse flies them home.
Object effectWorks well with
Image
One picture shown through a 3D construction that animates every change: shards, prisms, lenticular prints, paper, frost and more.
ObjectPinscreen
Pictures as beds of fine pins lit by the scene: inactive ones are a flat grey bed, the active one is pushed out by a soft wave into a relief in full colour; the cursor presses the pins in. Use for product, tech and tactile showcases.
Gallery layoutShape Burst
Bursts of charged particles that spiral out in a magnetic field and land exactly on a mesh shape, white-hot cooling to two family colours, then dissolve; the cursor detonates, curls or pulls them. Use for reveals, logos and impact moments.
Particle systemShape Flow
A wind tunnel of particle streams flowing round an invisible shape, coloured by pressure, with eddies behind it. The cursor is an obstacle, jet or vortex.
Particle systemSlats
Pictures cut into thin vertical slats lit by the scene: inactive ones stand nearly edge-on as fine grey lines, the active one turns its slats to face you in a soft wave, closing into the picture; the cursor turns the slats near it. Use for architecture, interiors and product showcases.
Gallery layoutAdvanced
Five advanced 3D materials: a mirror floor, refraction, see-through transmission glass, and two surfaces that distort or wobble the shape in motion.
