Shape Burst
Bursts of charged particles that spiral out in a magnetic field and land exactly on a mesh shape, white-hot cooling to two family colours, then dissolve; the cursor detonates, curls or pulls them. Use for reveals, logos and impact moments.

Shape Burst fires a burst of particles from a single point that curls outward in spirals and lands exactly on the surface of a shape, holds it for a moment, then drifts apart and fades before the next burst fires. Every burst reads as an explosion that assembles itself into a form.
How it works
The particles are charged and fly through a magnetic field with air drag, which bends their paths into spirals that slow as they go. Each particle is launched at exactly the speed and angle that brings it to rest on its own point of the shape, whichever way it spirals. Positive and negative particles curl in opposite directions and land in two colours, building the same shape from both sides.
Settings
- Shape tab: the shape the burst lands on, from cones and spheres to a torus, a box or a polyhedron.
- Interval and Hold Time: the time between bursts and how long the shape holds.
- Form Speed: how quickly the burst settles into the shape.
- Field Strength: how far the paths curl on the way out.
- Heat Color, Color and Counter Color: the launch glow and the two landed colours.
The cursor can detonate new bursts as it moves, curl passing particles with a magnet, or pull the landed shape toward it with gravity so it stretches and snaps back.
Use it for

Code and API
Ready-to-paste React Three Fiber code and the 3DRise API are included in paid plans, inside the studio.
More particle systems
Magnetic Bottle
Charged particles woven over any mesh shape: counter-rotating constant-bearing spirals that tighten into glowing tips, in two exact family colours; the cursor pinches, drifts or heats the orbits. Use for sci-fi and tech scenes.
Shape Flow
A wind tunnel of particle streams flowing round an invisible mesh shape: divergence-free flow, wake eddies, streaklines coloured by pressure; the cursor is a second obstacle, a jet or a vortex. Use for tech, aero and product scenes.
Sea Sparkle
Bioluminescent plankton that flash when the water shears: swell orbits, excitable cells that tire and recover, moon glitter; the cursor is a hand, falling pebbles or a hunting fish. Use for night sea and fantasy scenes.
Sunbeam Dust
Dust drifting in window light: Langevin motion in Kolmogorov turbulence, mullion shadows, forward scattering, glints and bokeh; the cursor is a hand, a torch or a charged rod. Use for interiors and cinematic scenes.
Chladni Sand
Sand on an invisible vibrating plate: resonant plate modes throw grains onto the nodal lines, drawing Chladni figures that form and re-form; the cursor bows, touches or taps the plate. Use for science, sound and abstract scenes.
Quantum Orbitals
A hydrogen electron cloud as Bohmian trajectories: a superposition of two orbitals breathing at the Bohr frequency, coloured by quantum phase; the cursor is a photon, a magnet or a detector. Use for science and tech scenes.
Works well with
Flock
Turn a 3D object into a flock of birds that takes off and flies away, or stays perched in its shape. Reverse flies them home.
Object effectGrow
Scale up (or down) and stay — settles with a small overshoot; switching off brings it back
Object effectKnock away
Struck from the side: it flies off on an arc, tumbling by where it was hit — tall things tip, flat ones skim; it is thrown back in and lands with a hop
Object effectParticle swarm
Break a 3D object into its own coloured particles that swirl in a vortex around it, or keep it as a particle cloud.
Object effectPlasma Whip
A plasma whip cursor: a glowing tube of plasma lashes behind the mouse, longer on fast moves. For energy, gaming and sci-fi scenes.
CursorShake
Tremble on the spot — smooth, nervous noise in position and roll
