Grid
Parastichy Grid
The sunflower's crossed Fibonacci spirals (21 × 13, cut into triangles by the 8-family) as a grid, with light running inward. Use for organic and sacred-geometry scenes.

The Parastichy Grid draws the spirals you see in a sunflower head or a pine cone as a grid of their own. One family of curves spirals clockwise, another counter-clockwise, and where they cross sits a seed. A third, fainter family cuts every cell into two triangles, so the floor reads as faceted. Light runs inward along the spirals toward the young centre, each spiral on its own timing.
How it works
Seeds in a sunflower are laid out at the golden angle, and the eye strings them into spirals. The numbers of spirals in each direction are always neighbours in the Fibonacci sequence, such as 21 and 13. This grid draws those spiral families directly, so every crossing falls exactly on a seed. Nothing turns: the only motion is the light travelling along the curves, with a sharp head and a long fading tail.
Settings
- Section Size is the number of spirals in the main family; use a Fibonacci number such as 13, 21, 34 or 55.
- Divergence is the angle between seeds; 137.508 is the golden angle.
- Third is the weight of the triangle-cutting family.
- Sap is the brightness of the light running inward.
- Fill sets the faceted two-tone fill of the cells.
Use it for
Sacred-geometry and wellness visuals, botanical and natural brands, premium floors and maths education. The Phyllotaxis Grid shows the same head as florets instead of spirals.
Code and API
Ready-to-paste React Three Fiber code and the 3DRise API are included in paid plans, inside the studio.
More grids
Phyllotaxis Grid
Vogel sunflower florets at the golden angle, lit domes coloured by age, each carrying one of 21 marks opened by bloom rings. Use for organic, botanical and premium floors.
Reaction Diffusion Grid
A living Gray-Scott reaction-diffusion field: coral, labyrinths and dividing spots grow across the plane and never settle. Use for organic, biological and alien floors.
Advanced Grid
A Grid with shader material , animation and noise effects.
Apollonian Grid
An Apollonian gasket of tangent circles built by circle inversion, re-balanced by a slow Möbius flow. Use for jewel-like, mathematical and luxury scenes.
Basic Grid
Basic grid with cells and sections
Chladni Grid
Vibrating Chladni plates: sand settles on the nodal lines of a standing wave that drifts between resonances. Use for sound, music, science and meditative floors.
Works well with
Bamboo
Light golden bamboo with a satin finish. For eco brands, spa and wellness scenes, kitchenware and modern interiors.
WoodIvy
Grow ivy over a 3D object: vines creep along its real surface and leaves unfurl. Reverse withers it away.
Object effectAmber
Warm amber-colored glass with rich golden tones, ideal for vintage and natural aesthetics
GlassBlack Volcanic
Black volcanic sand material: near-black basalt grains that glitter hard in low, raking light. For dramatic, high-contrast 3D scenes.
SandCedar
Warm reddish cedar with a dry, matte finish. For saunas, cladding, outdoor furniture and rustic cabin scenes.
WoodFlock
Turn a 3D object into a flock of birds that takes off and flies away, or stays perched in its shape. Reverse flies them home.
