Plasma is the default line effect: lines that glow in strong, saturated colors and slowly cycle through the color wheel, with brightness that pulses as the waves pass. It is a simple, bold way to make a wireframe or an outline look like flowing energy.

How it looks

The color comes from three overlapping waves that move at different speeds, mixed into a hue and drawn at high saturation. Over time the hue drifts through the spectrum, so a shape that is magenta now will be blue or green a few seconds later. On top of the color, a fourth wave pulses the brightness, so the light seems to flow rather than sit still. The colors are lifted toward pastel brightness, which keeps them luminous rather than dark.

Settings

  • Speed sets how fast the colors travel and the brightness pulses.
  • Intensity sets the brightness and strength of the lines.
  • Density sets how tightly the color waves are packed.

Use it for

Sci-fi energy outlines, neon logo wireframes, music and party visuals, and any scene where a shape should feel charged without the busyness of electric arcs. For a snaking beam with your own three colors, use Serpent; for a full rainbow, Rainbow.
