Hologram scan
Scan a 3D object into a glowing hologram with a sweeping plane of light, then switch it off, or keep it as a hologram.

Hologram scan sweeps a plane of light through an object and turns it into a hologram: glowing grid lines, a bright rim around the silhouette and drifting scanlines, with the solid surface cut away. A second plane follows and switches the hologram off, so the object leaves in two passes. Reversed, it scans back in, hologram first, then solid.
How it works
The grid is fixed to the object's own shape, so it wraps the model and moves with it. Only a band of the object is hologram at a time, between the two planes, and Hologram band sets how wide that band is. With Disappear off, the default when you keep it on an object, the scan turns the object into a hologram and it stays that way.
Settings
- Scan: the direction of the sweep, top to bottom by default. - Colour: cyan by default. - Grid: how many grid lines run across the object. - Hologram band: how much of the object is hologram at once. - Disappear: off to keep a permanent hologram. - Duration: 2.4 seconds.
Use it for
Sci-fi interfaces, tech product reveals, a digital twin of a real object, game menus. On a moving object, the Hologram trail leaves hologram copies behind it; for a scanner look with a point cloud, see LiDAR scan.

Hologram trail
A moving 3D object leaves hologram copies of itself that glitch out band by band.
Object effectLiDAR scan
Sweep a laser across a 3D object and turn it into a scanned mesh and point cloud, like real LiDAR capture.
Object effectLiquid metal
Turn a 3D object to polished chrome and melt it into a rippling pool, or keep it as chrome. Reverse pulls it back into shape.
Object effectTeleport
Draw a 3D object into a point of light and send it up a beam, or keep it charged under the beam. Reverse beams it back down.
Object effectWarp
Charges, then stretches along its heading and jumps away in a blink — it shoots back in, snaps out of the stretch and jiggles to rest
Object effect3D print
Print a 3D object layer by layer like an FDM printer, with a hot nozzle and glowing layers, or show its slicer preview.
