Leaf fall makes an object as light as a leaf. A gust lifts it and carries it off downwind, gliding side to side as it goes, rocking like a pendulum and slowly turning, and growing smaller until the wind has taken it. The way back is a leaf settling: it flutters down from above, the swings and rocking die away, and it touches down softly in place.
How it works
Like a real falling leaf, it is most tilted at the ends of each swing, where it changes direction, and tips over a little at every turn. The wind picks it up gently and speeds it on, and it rises at first before sinking away. On the return it drifts in from upwind and slows as it comes down.
Settings
- Wind: to the right, to the left or away from the camera, judged from the screen when it starts.
- Swings: how many side-to-side glides it makes on the way.
- Rock: how far it tilts at the end of each swing.
- Drift: how far the wind carries it, as a share of its size.
- Duration: the length of the exit, and of the landing.
Use it for
Autumn and botanical scenes, paper and card objects, calm product reveals and gentle exits that should not feel abrupt. Run it on click or hover, inside an action, or as the object's entrance and exit. For a balloon-like rise instead, use Drift up.

Petal peel
Peel a 3D object into flakes that flutter to the ground like leaves, or keep them lifted like raised scales.
Object effectSway
Rock gently about its base, like something tall in a light wind
Object effectDrift up
Lifts away like a balloon let go — rising faster and faster, drifting and swaying in a calm wind; it sinks back down and settles with a bob
Object effectFlock
Turn a 3D object into a flock of birds that takes off and flies away, or stays perched in its shape. Reverse flies them home.
Object effectSand erosion
Turn a 3D object to sand that crumbles grain by grain into a mound, or keep it as a sand sculpture. Reverse pours it back up.
Object effectBlast off
Crouch, then launch straight up and out of the scene — it comes back with a powered landing: falls in, brakes hard, hovers, touches down
Object effectWorks well with
Dandelion Seeds
Dandelion seeds let go of the head one by one and drift away: a high-drag pappus gives them a slow terminal fall, and curl-noise wind with updrafts carries them. Use for meadow, summer, wish, gentle scenes.
EffectFalling Leaves
Leaves drifting past the object, each one integrating the Andersen-Pesavento-Wang falling-plate equations, so they flutter, glide and tumble like real leaves.
EffectBamboo
Light golden bamboo with a satin finish. For eco brands, spa and wellness scenes, kitchenware and modern interiors.
WoodMurmuration
A starling murmuration: thousands of boids with topological neighbours swirl around a drifting roost, folding into dense, wave-like sheets. Use for dusk, wildlife, flocking, atmospheric scenes.
EffectAsh
Light tan ash with a satin finish, slightly olive in tone. For furniture, tool handles, sports gear and natural interiors.
WoodAurora
Flowing color ribbons (northern lights). Use for polar, atmospheric, magical-curtain effects.
