The Capsule is a cylinder with a half-sphere on each end: the shape of a pill, a pod, a soft pole or the simple body of a character. Its rounded ends catch light evenly, so it reads well with glossy and glassy materials.
Shape settings
- Radius sets how thick it is.
- Length sets the straight middle section between the two caps; at a small length it is almost a sphere, at a large one a long rounded rod.
- Cap segments sets how smooth the rounded ends are.
- Radial segments sets how many sides it has around. The default of 8 gives a softly faceted capsule; raise it toward 64 for a perfectly smooth pill, or drop it to 3 or 4 for a stylised, low-poly look.
Display modes and materials
Solid shows the surface. The point modes scatter particles through the volume or over the skin, and the line modes draw its edges, its wireframe or horizontal contour slices. Any material in the library goes on it: glossy plastic for a toy or pharmaceutical pill, frosted glass for a soft glowing pod, chrome for a sci-fi part.
Use it for
- Pills and medical or wellness visuals
- Rounded poles, handles and pods
- Simple stand-in bodies for characters
