The Diamond is the playing-card suit: a flat rhombus twice as tall as it is wide, extruded into a solid with a softly bevelled edge. It is a 2D symbol made solid, not a cut gemstone; for a faceted gem, the Octahedron is the better start.
Shape settings
The outline is four straight lines, so its only shape setting, Curve detail, changes very little here. Shape it with the object's scale instead: flatten it for a card token or a badge, deepen it for a chunky sculpture, or stretch it wider or taller for a different rhombus.
Display modes and materials
Solid shows the bevelled shape. Profile draws just its outline as a line, Edges picks out the bevel lines, and Wireframe shows every triangle. The point modes fill it with particles, Symmetric mirrors them around the centre. Any material goes on it: a ruby red diamond is the classic suit colour, gold reads as a casino chip, glossy red plastic as a game piece.
Combine it with the Club, Heart and Spade shapes for the four suits.
Use it for
- Card-game, poker and casino visuals
- Badges, markers and game icons
- Jewellery and luxury promotions as a graphic symbol
