The Hilbert Grid threads a single continuous line through every cell of the floor, turning back and forth in a maze-like path that never crosses itself and closes into one loop. Glowing signals with long fading trails circulate along it, winding through every corner like data moving through a chip. By default it is bright green on a dark board.
How it works
The path is a space-filling curve: a line that visits every cell of a square exactly once while keeping cells that are next to each other on the line next to each other on the floor. Four Hilbert curves are joined into one closed loop, known as a Moore curve, so the signals never reach an end. Straight runs are joined by rounded turns, so it reads as one smooth line. The accent layer is the same curve drawn coarser, the shape the fine curve is built from.
Settings
- Order sets how finely the curve folds: each step doubles the cells per side.
- Signals is the number of signals on the loop.
- Trail is the length of each signal's tail, in cells.
- Signal Speed is how fast they travel.
- Section Size sets the scale of the coarser accent curve.
Use it for
Data, cloud and AI products, chip and hardware launches, cybersecurity pages and tech event floors. The Circuit Grid offers a looser board, and the Data Stream effect pairs well above it.
Code and API
Ready-to-paste React Three Fiber code and the 3DRise API are included in paid plans, inside the studio.

Apollonian Grid
An Apollonian gasket of tangent circles built by circle inversion, re-balanced by a slow Möbius flow. Use for jewel-like, mathematical and luxury scenes.

Chladni Grid
Vibrating Chladni plates: sand settles on the nodal lines of a standing wave that drifts between resonances. Use for sound, music, science and meditative floors.

Conformal Grid
A square lattice pulled through ideal-flow potentials (spinning cylinder, vortex, source-sink); colour is flow speed and dye rides the streamlines. Use for science and tech scenes.
Works well with
Ghost
Glowing signal packets racing along every line with fading trails and glitch flicker, in phosphor green.
Line EffectsGlitch
Glitch post-processing: short bursts of digital break-up across a 3D scene at random intervals, for tech, gaming and music looks.
Post-processing effectHologram scan
Scan a 3D object into a glowing hologram with a sweeping plane of light, then switch it off, or keep it as a hologram.
Object effectHolographic Crosshair
A holographic crosshair cursor: a spinning targeting ring with four ticks that follows the mouse. For games, HUD interfaces and sci-fi product pages.
CursorLiDAR scan
Sweep a laser across a 3D object and turn it into a scanned mesh and point cloud, like real LiDAR capture.
Object effectWireframe trail
A moving 3D object leaves copies drawn as its real mesh edges, each line retracting into its middle.
