Lightning

The Lightning shape is a zig-zag bolt: a straight-edged outline that steps down in two sharp turns to a point, extruded into a solid with a thin bevel. It is the symbol for power, charging, speed and electricity.

Shape settings

• Width (0.3 to 1) stretches the bolt sideways: narrow for a slim, fast flash, wide for a bold cartoon bolt.
• Height (0.5 to 1.4) stretches it vertically.
• Curve detail has little effect here because the outline is made of straight lines.

Display modes and materials

Solid shows the bolt. Profile draws its outline as a clean line, Edges draws the outline and bevel lines, and the point modes turn it into particles. For a glowing bolt, give it a bright emissive look and add bloom; for a badge, use gold or a glossy yellow plastic.
