The Point is a small sphere used as a dot. It is the simplest marker in the library: put it where you want to show a location, a hotspot on a product, a node in a diagram or the position of a light.
Shape settings
The point has one setting, Size (0.02 to 0.5), the radius of the dot. Its round surface is fixed at a moderate level of detail, so it stays light even when you place many of them.
Display modes and materials
Solid is the usual mode: a clean round dot. The point and line modes also work, so a larger point can become a tiny cloud of particles or a wireframe ball. Any material goes on it: a bright emissive colour for a glowing marker (add bloom for a halo), gold for a premium accent, a matte colour for a diagram dot.
If you need a full sphere with its own Radius, Segments and Rings, use the Sphere instead; if you need thousands of dots, the particles objects are built for that.
Use it for
- Hotspots and markers on a product or map
- Nodes and dots in data and network diagrams
- Showing where a light or camera sits
