Sepia
Sepia post-processing: tint a 3D scene in the warm browns of an old photograph, for heritage, history and nostalgic looks.
Settings and defaults
- Intensity
- 1
Sepia tints the whole picture in warm browns, the tone of old photographs. It turns a full-colour 3D scene into something that looks like an archive print, and it unifies a scene built from many different colours into one mood.
How it works
Every pixel of the finished frame is remapped toward a single warm brown tone, so light and shade survive but the colours become one family. Intensity blends between the original colours and the full sepia tone.
Settings
- Intensity: at full strength the picture is completely sepia; lower values keep some of the original colour for a faded, warm grade rather than a monochrome one.
Use it for
Heritage brands, history and museum pieces, vintage product stories, nostalgic intros and flashbacks. The Retro preset sets sepia a little over half strength, with a heavy vignette and film grain. It suits objects that already feel analogue: the Projector image object throwing a picture through a hazy beam, Handwriting text, or warm candle light. Below full strength it also works as a warm grade for golden-hour and interior scenes that should feel remembered rather than live.
More post-processing
Color Correction
Colour correction post-processing: adjust brightness, contrast, hue and saturation of a whole 3D scene to set its mood and match a brand.
Post-processing effectNoise
Noise post-processing: fine film grain over a 3D scene that takes the digital edge off clean renders and gives an analogue feel.
Post-processing effectVignette
Vignette post-processing: darken the corners and edges of a 3D scene to frame the subject and hold the eye in the centre.
Post-processing effectChromatic Aberration
Chromatic aberration post-processing: split the colour channels into thin fringes for a lens, VHS or glitchy screen look.
Post-processing effectDepth of Field
Depth of field post-processing: blur everything in front of or behind the focus, like a camera lens, to draw the eye to your subject.
Post-processing effectBloom
Bloom post-processing: the brightest parts of a 3D scene glow and spill light, so neon, sparks and emissive materials read as light.
Post-processing effectWorks well with
Ink bloom
Bleed a 3D object into fine curling ink filaments, like a drop of ink in water. Dark on light, made for pale scenes.
Object effectBrass
Warm yellowish brass alloy, commonly used for fixtures, instruments, and decorative hardware
MetalBronze
Aged bronze with darker tones and patina effect, perfect for statues and antique objects
MetalChalkboard
Single-stroke chalk on slate: pressure-dependent deposit on a fixed grainy board with powdery halo, falling dust at the pen and a felt-smudge erase leaving ghosts. Use for classrooms, menus and hand-made titles.
TextEclipse Crown
Ethereal pale-gold ring with a slow, barely-there pulse — like totality
CoronaEmbroidery
Hand-embroidered lettering that picks satin, stem stitch, couching and French knots per stroke, with silk thread sheen under a moving light on puckered linen. Use for monograms, heritage brands and textile titles.
